Open Banking integrations, payment platforms, and reconciliation systems built against real bank APIs, with the PSD2, eIDAS, and audit discipline that banking work demands.

What changes when it's done right.
Bank statements downloaded and reconciled line by line, client by client
Transactions imported live via PSD2 AISP and matched automatically
Payments handled in a separate portal, disconnected from your platform
Payment initiation built directly into the workflow via PISP
Every payment provider means another integration your team maintains
One API in front of Stripe, PayPal, GoCardless, and Open Banking
Compliance requirements discovered late, bolted on under deadline
PSD2, eIDAS certificates, and audit trails designed in from day one
The building blocks.
Open Banking (AISP/PISP)
Account information and payment initiation flows against live UK bank APIs, including consent management.
eIDAS & PSD2 compliance
Certificate provisioning, rotation, and secure storage, the regulatory plumbing banks require before they hand over data.
Payment orchestration
Gateway adapters that normalise Stripe, PayPal, GoCardless, and bank transfers into one internal payment record.
Bank feed ingestion
SFTP and API feeds parsed per institution format, with idempotent processing so a retried file never double-posts.
Reconciliation automation
Imported transactions matched against ledgers automatically, with exceptions routed to a human review queue.
Fraud & dispute workflows
Rules-based detection and structured dispute resolution with a full audit trail per transaction.
We've already built this.
Blackcurrant Finance: Accounting & Open Banking Platform
Cloud accounting microservices platform with Open Banking integration for real-time bank transaction import and PSD2 payment initiation.
- Live bank transaction import via PSD2 AISP flow with Barclays Open Banking API
- Payment initiation (PISP) enabling outbound payments directly from the accounting platform
- Microservice architecture with RabbitMQ decoupling accounting, payments, and Open Banking concerns

Questions, answered.
The things people ask us before starting a project like this. If yours isn't here, ask us directly, we reply like humans.
Ask us anything→Have you worked with real bank APIs, or just sandboxes?
Live production integrations, including Barclays Open Banking for both account information and payment initiation, and SFTP feeds from HSBC and Goldman Sachs. Sandbox-to-production is where most Open Banking projects stall, and it's the part we've done repeatedly.
Who handles the PSD2 and eIDAS certificate side?
We do, alongside you. We've provisioned and managed eIDAS certificates for PSD2 API authentication, and we build certificate rotation workflows in from the start, because a lapsed certificate silently breaks every bank connection at once.
How long does an Open Banking integration take?
A single-bank AISP or PISP integration is typically 4 to 8 weeks to production, including the consent flow and certificate setup. Multi-gateway payment platforms are larger, but the first gateway going live sets the pattern for the rest.
Can you work within our existing compliance and security review process?
Yes. We're used to formal security reviews, penetration test remediation, and documentation requirements. Audit trails, encrypted credential storage, and role-based access are our defaults, not add-ons.
What happens when a bank changes or deprecates its API?
Bank-side integrations are isolated behind adapters, so an API change is contained to one module instead of rippling through the platform. Under a support agreement we track deprecation notices and ship the migration before the deadline, not after the breakage.
