The shift

What changes when it's done right.

  1. Regulatory submissions bridged through spreadsheet plug-ins nobody trusts

Direct API integration with the regulator, receipts and history stored per account

  2. Fund positions, capital calls, and distributions tracked across disconnected spreadsheets

One platform spanning securities, funds, direct assets, and bank accounts

  3. Sensitive credentials and client data handled inline with business logic

Encryption isolated into auditable modules, with sensitive fields locked down by default

  4. Month-end reporting assembled by hand from exports

Reports generated from live data, on schedule, without anyone compiling them

What we build

The building blocks.

Block 01 06

Regulatory submissions

Direct integrations with regulator APIs, like our HMRC Making Tax Digital platform: OAuth flows, submission, receipts, and history.

Block 02 06

Fund & portfolio platforms

Multi-tenant systems covering listed securities, unlisted funds, direct assets, capital calls, and distributions.

Block 03 06

Market data & pricing

Scheduled pricing pipelines from providers like EODHD and Refinitiv, keeping valuations current without manual entry.

Block 04 06

KYC & identity

Verification pipelines up to biometric grade, with checksum-validated reference numbers and national database checks.

Block 05 06

Payroll & payslips

Pay runs, tax and NI calculation, PDF payslips, and HMRC-ready reporting, run in-house instead of through a bureau.

Block 06 06

Audit & tax automation

Automated tax calculation and remittance with an audit trail per transaction, built for regulator scrutiny.

FAQs

Questions, answered.

The things people ask us before starting a project like this. If yours isn't here, ask us directly, we reply like humans.

Ask us anything→

How do you make sure calculations are actually correct?

Calculation engines are built as standalone modules with unit tests against known cases, separate from the web layer, so tax bands, NI thresholds, and valuation logic can be tested exhaustively on their own. When a figure affects real pay or real tax, 'it looked right in the demo' isn't a standard we accept.

Can you handle multi-tenant setups where clients must never see each other's data?

Yes, and we treat it as an architectural property, not a filter. Tenant scoping is enforced at the query layer on every entity, so one client's data is structurally unreachable from another's session. We've run this model for fund managers and multi-practice platforms.

We're regulated. How does that affect how you work?

It sets the defaults: encrypted credential storage, role-based access, immutable audit records, and schema design treated as a compliance artifact. We've built against HMRC MTD, PSD2, KYC/AML, and GDPR requirements, and we're comfortable working with your compliance team's review cycles.

Can you take over a finance system another team built?

Yes. Roughly half our support work is adopting systems we didn't build: we audit the codebase, stabilise the urgent risks, then improve it release by release. The awkward conversation about the state of the code is one we've had many times, gently.

What does an engagement usually look like?

A short discovery to map the domain and the regulatory constraints, then fixed scope for the first release. Finance work tends to grow in phases: the platform earns trust on one workflow, then absorbs the next one.
